Thrill

I would have never considered myself adventurous, but on a trip to Toronto with my husband, we decided we wouldn't just visit the CN Tower, but we would do the Edgewalk! This feat meant I would go up 1,168 feet (356 metres) and walk on the edge of the CN tower platform.

We arrived, got suited up and harnessed in. I have to say; my knees were quaking as I waited inside the door to head out. After multiple rounds of reviewing safety protocols, we headed out. We made numerous stops as we circled the tower. Our guide modelled and talked us through "activities" at each stop. It was entirely our choice whether or not we did each one, and I was so proud of m myself for trying each one. Surprisingly. Leaning backward and letting go of the harness was the one I was the most at ease with. Not having to look over the side took the edge off (pun intended.)

The Edgewalk was thrilling, and taking in the city's view from a totally different perspective was incredible. This has made me want to experience more thrilling adventures that push me out of my comfort zone.
