Working From Home

I am officially working from home. I’m not sure how long this will be the status, but when given the opportunity to do this, I went for it. I made this choice in hopes that by eliminating the constant need to be aware of my surroundings, distance from others, and handwashing, I would reduce at least some stress that has accompanied working during this pandemic.

I’m incredibly lucky to have a beautiful office space in my house that we’ve designed to be minimalistic and calm. This space has added to the intention of recuperation while continuing to work. My husband is also working from home, so we did have to come up with a schedule for rooms and separation in the house to ensure quiet and confidential workspaces. Luckily, we’ve worked together well to accomplish this, and our first few days have been considered successful.

I plan on taking this opportunity in these transitioning and trying times to appreciate the warmth of the sun and the solitude of this space each morning as I start my day. I invite you to find a moment each day that you can savour, a moment that provides you with a smile, or provides you with a little extra strength.
