Bruised Morning Sky

“The sun is yet to rise, and the sky is still bruised by night.”

When I caught the view out my window this morning, I was reminded of this simple, beautiful line from one of my favourite “Calm” Sleep Stories titled “Into the Library.” The author is Marion Katrina Poerio, and it is read by Diveen Henry. I have trouble even expressing what I love about it, but there is something about the carefully chosen words used to describe the simple, early morning sky that tugs at my heart every time.

So, good morning from this little corner of my home office. I continue to work from home, and on this Thursday morning, I am pausing to appreciate the comfortable space I have to do so. We recently added a diffuser to the home office, and it has really amplified the relaxing atmosphere we have aimed for here.

Between the lovely morning sky and the soothing essential oil being diffused into my office, I find myself pleasantly relaxed as I begin my workday. What are your morning comforts? Do you have some favourite spaces or items that help you create a relaxing atmosphere?
