Calling for a Blanket Dance

What a stunning family saga. I love books that show the reader the many perspectives of the same story. Hokeah did an incredible job of pulling together the threads of Ever’s story through the lenses of those surrounding him. Calling for a Blanket Dance adeptly explored family, culture, intergenerational trauma and resilience. I found it incredible how Hokeah brought so much forward in each chapter, despite some being relatively short. My first five-star rating of the year!
