The Great Alone

This was another incredible book by Kristin Hannah. The story was gritty and emotional; it sunk its claws in deep, and I couldn’t pull myself away. I was completely engulfed by the story, primarily focusing on Lena Allbright; there were moments when my heart raced, and I was desperate to know what was ahead. Hannah did a phenomenal job of painting such an in-depth and raw narrative that I was wrapped up in the uncertainty of the situation. While a part of me feels the ending was tied into a bit of a bow, it was messy enough of a bow that I still vigorously applaud this book.
